(sometimes spelled Tweedale) a title of the Peerage of Scotland, created in 1694 for the 2nd Earl of Tweeddale.

Field Marshal George Hay, 8th Marquess of Tweeddale, (1 February 1787 – 10 October 1876), Hereditary Chamberlain of Dunfermline, was a British soldier and administrator.
