Branch Davidian
A member of a religious group that originated in 1955 from a schism in the Davidians. They believed that Bible prophecies of a final divine judgment were coming to pass as a prelude to Christ's Second Coming, and were involved in a fatal siege in 1993 near Waco, Texas.
Davidian Revolution
a name given by many scholars to the changes which took place in the Kingdom of Scotland during the reign of David I. These included his foundation of burghs, implementation of the ideals of Gregorian Reform, foundation of monasteries, Normanisation of the Scottish government, and the introduction of feudalism through immigrant Norman and Anglo-Norman knights.
